From Vision to Reality: The Story of CHOP and the Old Stone Church

The Old Stone Church (OSC) stands as a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of prayer. In 2020, the Colorado House of Prayer (CHOP) was divinely led to this historic and sacred space, recognizing its potential as a hub for worship, prayer, and community impact.

Phase 1: Laying the Foundation

Our initial goal is to raise $30,000 to establish The Old Stone Church Corporation. This involves collaborating with expert attorneys specializing in real estate and securities laws. As of August 1, we have raised $25,000. Our target completion date for this phase is September 1, 2024.

Phase 2: Establishing Governance

In this phase, we will form the board of the OSC Benefit Corporation, which will oversee the project. Our aim is to be ready to receive funds for the initial offering by August 2024. Once the necessary funds are secured, we will proceed with purchasing the building and prepare for Phase 3. The goal for completing this phase is January 2025.

Phase 3: Community Ownership

This is where it gets exciting! The people of Colorado will have the opportunity to purchase fractional shares from Phase 2 investors, becoming part-owners of the oldest church building in Fort Collins. With an investment as modest as $100, you can contribute to this historic acquisition while blessing the Colorado House of Prayer. Given the complexity of this phase, detailed information will be released at a later date. We anticipate starting this phase in January 2026.
